I bought this as a bathing suit cover up but my 17 year old daughter already borrowed this to wear to school with checkered vans. The color is rich and unique. I bought a medium and usually get a smalll and have some xsmall. The fit is just fine - it looks great so there are sizing options.

THE SOPHIE DRESS IS ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE LILLY DRESSES. I HAVE IT IN A VARIETY OF PRINTS. THE FABRIC IS SOFT, STRETCHY AND MAGICALLY WITHOUT BEING CLINGY. THE SILHOUETTE IS PERFECTION. I CAN’T RECOMMEND THIS DRESS HIGHLY ENOUGH. IT’S JUST SO FLATTERING. I AM THRILLED IT IS DESIGNED IN SOLID BLACK WHICH MAKES IT EFFORTLESS TO DRESS UP.

I purchased the black one a few months ago for a cruise. I loved it so much I decided I needed it in another color. I usually wear a medium and that is what I ordered, it fits perfect. Great for travel or just around town.

My Christmas party dress this year. The color is more blue then pictured but super pretty. Very fitted and flattering, so comfy I can wear it all day. Dress up with heels for a night party, or down for daytime play..love it!

The sales associate at my local store said that this dress ran small, so I ordered a size up. Wrong! It is too big and see through. Really disappointing because I had high hopes for this one.

I love this dress and the simple colors. It’s so easy to dress up or just be cute and casual. I got all 3 colors. Love the gold buttons and how much they stand out, on the dress. I paired them up a few times, with my gold Jacks. I love my Lilly prints but bravo for making a few basic colored dresses too!

I bought this dress in two colors for wearing to sporting events during the day. It is comfortable and loose with the slightest bit of form fitting. The buttons sit on top of the arm, instead of in the cufflink position. It is roomy yet chic. I love that it is functional. I bought it in XS - for 122 lbs, 5'4" curvy hourglass figure.

First Sophie Dress

This is my first Sophie dress, I got it in the True Navy color and it is gorgeous! After reading all the reviews, I was torn between ordering my normal Lilly size (XS) or sizing up like a lot of reviewers recommended. Ultimately, I ended up going with my normal Lilly size, XS, and I am so glad I did. The fit it perfect, it is a slightly more clingy fabric but I don't find it to be too tight. For reference, I am 5'2" 125 pounds and a 34B. The length on this is great too, comes to just above my knees. The navy color is stunning and I am looking forward to taking this through the fall and winter season with boots and a scarf!

I have both Onyx and True Navy and would love some other solid colors. The gold buttons are what make the Sophie such a beautiful, yet simple dress. I throw on this dress, some gold hoops and simple sandals. Easy out the door style.

Not clingy at all, but is fitted enough you don't look like you're wearing a sack. It gives you some shape. (I'm 5'5, 138 lbs, a 36C and got the medium.) The gold buttons on the shoulder and sleeve give some interest to the solid color. Looked great with a long gold Lilly necklace and gold wedge shoes. Wish it came in more prints, but the navy is a solid piece to have in your wardrobe.
