What does this Print with Purpose mean to you?
The BCRF x Lilly Pulitzer partnership has always been particularly personal for me. My mom was
diagnosed with breast cancer at a relatively young age - she was 39. So in my late 20s, I started to
get serious about my own breast health. I’ve been super proactive about scheduling my annual
mammograms, MRIs, and ultrasounds, and I always share my experiences with my audience— I think it’s
something not enough influencers are talking about. If I can help even one person with early
detection, then I’ll consider my “oversharing” to be well worth it.
A favorite or memorable moment while wearing Lilly Pulitzer?
One of the first times I got "dressed up" and left the house last summer (after months of being
cooped up in my NYC apartment during lockdown) I wore my green Lilly maxi dress to have dinner
outside at a restaurant with my husband. I put on makeup, did my hair, and finally felt like myself
again. It was the most stunning summer night, and the sunset was magical. I'll never forget how
beautiful I felt wearing that dress!
Is there a message or mantra you can provide to others whole family members are affected by breast cancer, what would it be?
You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for.
What does “Be the Sunshine” mean to you?
I try to show up every day and spread a little sunshine to those around me - whether it's making
someone laugh on my Instagram stories, offering a piece of advice to a friend, or doing something
special & unexpected for someone who's going through a rough patch. I find that making others feel
good makes me feel good too!
