A Toast to the Host: NEW Home & Gift

Does the thought of hosting a party make your heart skip a beat in a good way? Or does it start to conjure stressful feelings? Let’s banish those and invite the good vibes in. At Lilly, we LOVE a party and truly enjoy hosting in the way our founder did—welcoming, fun, togetherness, spontaneous, joyful, and making sure to celebrate EVERYTHING with EVERYONE. Welcome to our guide on how to host and toast this fall in an effortless, fun, fabulous way. See, hosting your loved ones at home sends such a warm message—you love them so much you want to toast with them, share a meal, hear everything wonderful that’s happening in their life, and send them home with new memories and lots of laughs.

First—don’t WAIT for something to celebrate, LIFE is something to celebrate. Let spontaneity bubble to the top of your thoughts and see what happens—these are often the best parties. Pick up fresh flowers, grab the ingredients for your go-to dish, and unleash your creativity with all the elements of our new home collection—our just-arrived table décor offers a host of colorful possibilities! Kick your shoes aside, put on an effortlessly elegant dress, pop on your baubles, and you are good to go!

And while you’re setting the scene, think about all the senses. About 10 minutes before your guests arrive, light your candles, dim the lights, start your playlist (a kitchen dance party is ALWAYS a good idea), and make sure the bubbly is chilled. If the little ones are running around the house, ask them to make placecards or welcome art for the guests. Once your guests begin to arrive, give them a little something to do—everyone gathers in the kitchen anyway, so may as well make it productive! This is also how Lilly hosted—you walked through her door, she greeted you barefoot, and put you to work squeezing limes or pouring a drink. So now you’re off to a beautiful evening – have FUN and tell us all about it!

Attending and not hosting? No problem. Our latest candles also make a great holiday party hostess gift when you’re the guest. Pair the candle with a handwritten note sharing a favorite memory of the host, a warm wish for the season ahead, and you’re all set!

Here’s a Fall mantra to keep in mind when planning your next get-together—Paradise isn’t a place…it’s a party with your nearest and dearest on the guest list xx
