Party like a Pulitzer: Holiday Hosting & Toasting

It’s been said—there’s no place like home for the holidays—and our Resort 2024 Home & Gift Collection feels the exact same way. There’s so much to love in this uniquely curated collection that will bring distinctive, chic touches to your home. We’re also sharing our tips on how to host the Lilly way and OF COURSE what to wear for the holidays at home.

We’ll leave the guest list details to you, but really we’re saying swing open your door and celebrate with everyone you love this season! Spur of the moment. Planned for months. Something in between. There’s always something to celebrate and the holidays are extra special. They’ve arrived! As you welcome your guests in, our champagne chic glassware is readily available to make spirits bright and our embroidered cocktail napkins leave a distinct touch, with details that get everyone talking. Then, set the scene with your dream tablescape and welcome everyone around the table. Our new print table runner with reversible placements offers a playfully chic mix of pattern and print that’s ready to layer with our porcelain dinner plates, or your own set. After dinner, cozy up on the couch with our new throw pillows that coordinate with your tablescape and keep the conversation flowing. And if your guests are reading this – we recommend arriving with presents, of course and Lilly has you covered. Our new candles or burlwood boxes are the perfect hostess gift—we love to keep a few hostess gifts on hand during the holidays so you can RSVP yes to any party confidently and without having to rush out…other than getting a new outfit!

Now that your home is ready to host, let’s think about YOU! Here’s our go-to guide for what to wear for holiday hosting, from cozy chic to sparkling social.

Cozy Chic

If you go from unwrapping presents to hosting a family brunch, cozy chic style in festive custom color is perfect for you. We love the Kendy pullover and Riley pant in our Serene Soft knit fabrication, done in a lush Malbec red. For a Resort (or winter) white lounge look, our August velour pullover and Mallie velour pants are for you. And if green is your go-to this season (it’s everywhere!) our best-selling Eleni pullover and Alwyn pants match back great to your Hallie sneakers and Bamboo Forest hoops. Ooh – another we can’t forget, staying in your PJs all day can make for a fabulous Christmas. We love the new cozy cloud jersey PJs in Animal Magnetism. And for a last touch – you can’t go wrong with a Ballad sweatshirt to match back with your favorite Lilly solids or to give as a gift. There’s a reason it’s a bestseller!

All Set

Have you ever met a houndstooth that you didn’t like? Same. We love the Corvina boucle set matched back to our new houndstooth mini skirt. Our new Averlie sequin tank also brings the right amount of shine and cool factor paired with our Liza coated crop flare. For a holiday-ready custom color, we love our Valoria Sweater set in Raspberry rouge with the effortlessly fabulous Colletti pant in coconut. Pair back the Schuyler kitten heel slingback to perfectly polish off any of these outfits!

Sparkling Social

Going glam for the holidays? Don’t have to tell us twice. The best-selling Nicoline sequin knit romper is BACK! If you’re after a classic shift shape, look no further than the Augustus beaded boucle shift or the Ritzy boucle shift. We can’t get enough of the feminine chic look of boucle and we know you love it, too. If you’re loving the trouser trend, we suggest the Liza Shimmer crop flare pants paired with our Noraleen silk top. The Tamara slingback is also a fabulous foot forward.

A pause before we sign off – there’s a few more tips we’d love to share for how to party like a Pulitzer this holiday season:

-Popping the cork or serving a specialty drink? Add a special touch to your tablescape with a custom cocktail with names that give a wink and a nod to you and your guests. We served “In the Slim” and “The Lilly” at our 65th Anniversary Fashion Show.

-Forgo the kids table—everyone all together makes for the most fun. Ask the kids to practice their letters and make place cards for you. It’s fun to pull them out each year and add on new names.

-Make a playlist and text it to your guests after – stay connected through the music and memories made.

-Need to loosen up the party and get things done? When in doubt…kick your shoes off, ask your guests to help in the kitchen, turn up the music, and HAVE FUN!!!

Wishing you the brightest season around xx
