Dive In: To Our Mission + Community
At Lilly Pulitzer, we’re known for our resort fashions, hand-painted prints, and happy colors. But do you know the mission that drives us? Our mission is to inspire confidence and optimism, inviting everyone to shine bright and stand out. It connects us all on a deeper level and we hold it near and dear to our hearts. This mission drives many of our decisions and we see it celebrated every single day in our interactions with you in our stores!
There are many ways you can see this mission in action—in how we design, communicate, and connect with you and also how we do our part in the greater community. Are you familiar with our Prints with Purpose platform? Several times a year, we release limited edition collections anchored by a hand-painted print celebrating a partner organization. Featured on new and best-selling styles, these Prints with Purpose are at the heart of campaigns that shine a spotlight on the important work of our charitable partners. Since launching in 2017, the Print with Purpose program has donated over $500,000 to organizations including Girls, Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Our first Print with Purpose of the year was in collaboration with First Tee, a youth development organization that integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, enabling kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. It's a perfect match to help us celebrate 65 years of creating sunshine.
This limited-edition collection, featuring our hand-painted print, will support First Tee with a $25,000 contribution. We're especially excited that more than 70% of First Tee's 150 chapters offer programming specifically for girls. Game on!
On a local level, we regularly partner with organizations in the communities surrounding our stores and invite you to shop for a cause. Annually, we share sunshine with hundreds of local non-profits via these in-store events; in recent years, we’ve donated to organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Girls on the Run, and The First Tee.
