Why Lilly?

I have a deep nostalgia for Lilly Pulitzer's cheerful prints, which I’ve worn since childhood. My mom dressed my sister and me in matching Lilly outfits, and the brand was a constant presence in our lives—from the boutique in Locust Valley to our Palm Beach home and summers in Nantucket. Her shops, especially the one on Via Mizner, were a vibrant explosion of color and pattern, and I loved collecting the Lilly-printed bean bag animals. I also share a connection to Lilly through Miss Porter's School, her alma mater, where creativity and passion were nurtured.

How does Lilly Pulitzer relate to your Palm Beach style?

Growing up in this colorful environment shaped my visual style and my narrative. Lilly’s designs have always embodied resort living, with an informal, tropical timeless elegance. Her aesthetic has influenced my approach to Palm Beach interiors, where I create spaces that capture that same sense of relaxed, vibrant luxury.

What inspired your sitting room?

I am constantly inspired by the colors, lifestyle and youthfulness of Palm Beach living. The new line of Lilly Pulitzer fabrics by Lee Jofa is sophisticated and elevated while adhering to the classic Lilly aesthetic. The prints beg to be used in bold strokes and the solids and wovens complement them perfectly. I designed a welcoming space that feels contemporary yet nostalgic. The inspiration of the past in Palm Beach's golden era of golf, tennis, and sun-soaked cocktails and our diverse and worldly lifestyle of today were my guides.

Are you more "wild" or "mild" in your design style?

My style is milder but always with a juicy dose of wild. I love using bold prints or colors to energize a room while keeping the envelope of the space more mild. A pop of vibrancy instantly elevates the mood, adding joy and a sense of lightness—what could be better than that?

You'll find Lilly's newest interior prints on wallcoverings and upholstered fabrics including:

Palm’s Way: A mesmerizing jungle print mural, with jaguars gracefully on the prowl among a verdant oasis.

Tropi Call Me: An ikat inspired pineapple print reflects the lush tropics and welcoming nature of pineapple motif, also featured in Lilly's spring 25 fashion collection.

Spot That: A harmonious blend of serene pattern motifs inspired by the picturesque beauty of Palm Beach.

Sunny Stripe: Splashed with bright colors and accented with cooling white, Sunny Stripe is hand crafted and woven in India with a space dyed yarn for a stripe- featured in blues and greens.
