Assouline Book Special Edition

Looks great on my coffee table and every time I open it, it makes me smile. All the fun patterns and beautiful people in the photos. I love summer and this book screams summer!

My Mom is the one who introduced me to Lilly as a child and as a teen I rebelled from it. I went the opposite and went goth and black. Boy am I glad I got out of that stage. After reading this book I realize Lilly herself was a little bit of a rebel. After my Mom passed away I started wearing more Lilly. It just makes me so happy! I inherited my Mom’s colletion of Lilly and it was so amazing to find some of the vintage patterns my Mom kept in the book. Lilly means so much more to me now that I know her story. Also huge kudos to the artist and sales person at the Worth Ave store. I asked for something different to be drawn in the front of the book and they did not disappoint!

I bought this the day it came out and it is priceless. So beautiful and well made, I will always treasure the exquisite photos and information.

I was so excited to receive this beautiful coffee table book. Before setting it out, I sat down at my table to flip through it. I was enjoying looking at the pictures of Lilly’s life, until I got to the end and saw that the book had pulled away from its binding! I was shocked that a $200 coffee table book literally fell apart after being opened for maybe 10 minutes. I guess it’s possible it could have been damaged from the start, but I would very much recommend for people to buy the cheaper model, so if this happens to you it’s not such a blow to your pocketbook. Or just plan on never opening it!

This book is simply gorgeous. Inside are Lilly prints I adore, both vintage and recent; lovely photos I have never seen before of Lilly Pulitzer; photos from all the different decades of Lilly; and fascinating history, anecdotes, and quotations, all collected in one beautiful volume. I have this book in the Palm Beach Toile, which I had to have because it is such a beautiful and evocative print. Just looking through this book filled with sunny Lilly Pulitzer style makes me happy and inspires me. I am keeping this book in my closet with all my Lillys, and it is a wonderful addition.

This book is a little pricey, but it is a great collectable for anyone who loves Lilly. It is filled with some many beautiful pictures and details. I really like the cover too. It will keep the book clean and neat when it isn't being looked at. It is something I will treasure forever.

I was so excited for this book and splurged for the expensive special edition. I felt like it was more of a history of Lilly advertisements. Not really any pictures that I hadn’t already seen. Definitely a let down.
