Alexa Maxi Dress

Beautiful dress, runs at least 2 sizes too small and even with high heels is entirely too long ( I am 5’10”)

This dress just arrived and I was very nervous about it fitting based on reviews. I found in my size it was true to size. I wear a 10 and bought the 10. Measurements 38C/D, 32 waist with a bit of a belly. It was not at all snug in the bust, waist or hip. Even with the bust fully zipped I was not squished at all. I didn't need spanx. Its flattering. The dress has no stretch. It seems well made. The patches are individual patches sewn together rather than printed on the fabric, which is nice. The dress is about 1 full patch too long and dragging on the floor even with a 4 inch heel. I'm 5'7. So it would need to be hemmed- It doesnt seem like it would hurt anything trim or design-wise. The colors are brighter than shown, but not quite as bright as some of the recent prints that are just too neon to wear. I do wish there were more fun prints with animals, sealife, or sunshines in them. I have many Lilly patchwork pieces and its always fun to find the little vignettes in the fabrics. This one has none, just floral and abstract patterns. I don't usually write reviews but I felt like so many people said it ran small that I wanted to comment for those on the fence. I would say order your regular size. If I had sized up I would have been swimming.

This dress runs small and is very, very long. I have a larger bust and dress was very tight in that area. I am returning the dress, sadly. As it is very beautiful.

I purchased this because I loved the different patch squares.. but when I tried it on.. it has so much more.. the gold detail on the slits on the bottom of the dress add such class to the maxi! ❤️ It!!

This dress is absolutely GORGEOUS, there is no doubt about it. When I took it out of the box I almost cried it was so beautiful. However, my dreams of wearing this gorgeous gown came crashing down as I put it on. What others have said is most definitely true. This dress runs notoriously small. No matter how much I wiggled, held my breath, or gripped onto the bedpost, this dress was NOT going up past my chest. I've recently had dresses on in sizes 14 and 16 both, and if this was a 16, it was the smallest 16 I've ever tried on in my entire life. I'll admit, I'm tall (5'8), with an hourglass figure, and an larger than average size chest (42DDD). I haven't had a problem with any of my other Lilly dresses fitting in the past. This one definitely runs VERY small. There is NO give in the material, and if you are petite, the dress will be long. It was so beautiful on. I honestly considered keeping it and seeing if I could take it to a talior and have them let out a couple of inches to make it zip over my chest, but I was terrified there just wasn't enough material and I wouldn't be heartbroken. Just keep this in mind when ordering, especially if you are a curvier woman, up top.

I am 5'7"..135ibs....short waisted with long legs..this dress size 8 fits like a glove..I absolutely love it..worn with Sophia Webster mid wedges...no hemming.. Worth every dollar..

I wanted to love this dress, I was so excited to receive it because it looked like a dream online. When I got it I was surprised by how neon all of the colors were. In the picture it had more white and navys but what I saw was neon pink, yellow, and green. It was so distractingly bright. I got my size and it wouldn't zip. All my other dresses in the same size fit but this one fit in the hips but wouldn't zip in the chest. I had to return it sadly. Also, the material was strange, it wasn't a shift material but had ridged lines through it. Overall, a three because it really was a great idea but bad construction.

This dress is simply stunning. I ordered a 00 and it fit beautifully. The only issue I had was that it was far too long, even with heels on and I am 5'7" tall. I would have had to have it tailored (lose the gorgeous gold trim on the slits) or have a row of patches taken out which seemed a big project. For the cost of this dress, I did not want the extra expense of having it tailored too so I ended up returning it. But if you don't mind paying the extra money, the dress itself is beautiful and I would highly recommend it!
